In this lesson I use the tune It Could Happen to You to demonstrate how to solo when you are the only instrument. This happens all of the time when accompanying a singer or horn player in a duet situation. A great lesson with a fully transcribed two chorus example.

My One and Only Love - Chord Melody
This lesson will describe every harmonic decision made for this arrangement. Counterpoint, voice leading, reharmonization and improvising, it's all here🎸

Blue Bossa - Tune Based
This is another very oftren requested tune👍 I present this lesson with the beginner to intermediate jazz guitar player in mind. As usual, I go through the tune from beginning to end and discuss minor ii-V's, the dominant approach, changing chord function and much more.

This I Dig of You (Hank Mobley) - Tun...
One of my favorite tunes to play! It's a relatively easy tune but the deceptively simple first 8 measures are a gold mine of awesome reharmonization techniques. I'll walk you through the whole tune but the most interesting stuff happens in the front section. A 14 page PDF and backing track included.
