In this lesson I discuss the way I go about modifying my 4/4 lines into lines that work in 3/4. I utilize Wes Montgomery's classic West Coast Blues and All the Things You Are to demonstrate this process. I also discuss the benefits of how taking tunes you normally play in 4/4 can make you more expressive in 3/4. It's great way to get out of the lick playing rut that many of us find ourselves in.
