1) Is there a suggested course curriculum? The lessons are excellent but in what order are we supposed to work through them? The only section where I see a numerical sequence is under "Stepping Stones". I did check out "Advice for New Student" (https://barrygreenevideolessons.vhx.tv/forums/general/22946-advice-for-new-students) but what does Barry advise?
1) How does one monitor one's progress? Any personal feedback? Is there any assessment? Or is the only option Skype lessons?
3) I don't see any backing tracks. Are we supposed to create our own tracks or simply use many of the YouTube tracks even though they don't use the same chords or reharmonization suggested by Barry?
4) Is there a single document that summarises the content of all the lessons without having to hover over each or click on each lesson to see what is covered?
Thanks in advance for any response.
Regards,
Greg
Hi Greg,
The site was never designed to be a step one through 10 kind of course. There are lessons in some very broad categories that cover a lot of material. My recommendation is to do the steppingstone lessons first, followed by all of the essential lessons. By that time you’ll be able to tackle anything on the site. Keep all of us notified of your progress, there are a lot of nice people on here. It would be impossible for me to monitor everybody’s progress as I do this all on my own. I also am a full-time professor at the University of North Florida and have two sons. I try to answer emails as quickly as I can but beyond that you’re on your own except for the community here.
