Hey Barry!

Which model Henriksen do you use and does it come with your highest recommendation? I plan to pick one up soon to match my new Godin archtop (5th Avenue). Others out there with recommendations, please speak up too! Thanks! -JGC

I have the original BUD which I absolutely love! I think he has come out with a new improved line of them, but the tone is the best I’ve ever had in my entire guitar playing life. Without a doubt my highest recommendation but be sure to check out his site as I think he’s updated most of his gear. Also, be sure to mention my name to Peter, it might not help you but it will definitely help me :-)

I have a Jazz Amp 10". I bought it right before the new line came out and they knocked $100 off. I have a Sadowsky LS-17 and I leave all of tone knobs on the amp pretty close to the middle. I roll back the tone about halfway on the guitar and roll the volume back a little on the guitar. The tone is great. I think they made some tweaks on the newest line and included bluetooth, but if you want to save a few bucks, the older ones are well designed.

heh, that's where the problem is. Craig's List is a needle in the haystack. I'm sure you can find on EBAY, but I've never bought gear from there, some people I know do it all the time. Here in Austin, TX there is a small shop that gets a lot of used gear and I have seen old polytones etc. but Austin is a pretty rich music town. Maybe check to see if Henrisksen still has any of the previous models like mine that they are selling new at a discount.
