I just would love to have that type of guitar. I visited with the majority owner of Benedetto recently who told me that they're no longer making it (as least temporarily discontinued) because the Gibson folks got some lawyers involved due to its similarity to the 335. A shame.

Construction sounds similar to my friends' in Austin solid wood (no laminates) I-35 Deluxe, which I have enjoyed for years, particularly when I swapped in some Throbak PAFs. Same ballpark price wise, but not a jazz approved Benedetto. Though Frisell and Lage are playing Collings these day.
