Hi, As I've never had much formal musical training my learning technique has generally been to listen and copy things that I like and in this regard I have a pretty good ear for what is happening. It would help me if the speed you play examples at could be reduced as even slowed down to half speed some are still quite fast. To be honest I often cut to your solos as I can learn more from listening to that than anything. I suppose my playing is really based around "licks and tricks" if you like. I've been playing guitar for over 60 years so amending my approach to a more academic/theory based learning is really not going to happen. Hope you'll consider this in future videos. Keep up the good work.
Hi David,
Thanks for your message. I play the examples at tempo that I can maintain the time feel of the line, if it's too slow, I'm unable to convey the what would have been the original feel of the examples. The Vimeo player has the ability to slow down the video (I know for certain on the web) to either .75 or .50 speed. I hope that helps! Barry
