Hey Barry:
Might you consider doing a lesson on Blue in Green as a vehicle for developing the melodic minor sound? Its such a beautiful, lush mysterious ballad and SEEMS to me to invite melodic minor sounds. Thanks for considering it! Cheers. -J

Thanks Josh!
I would second Josh's inquiry. I've been fooling around with the Ed Cherry version, would love to hear your take on it. Thanks,
Kevin
Beautiful lesson on 'Blue in Green'. I've always held this one in reverence since hearing McLaughlin's acoustic version. Never even thought of attempting it before. Much appreciated for demystifying this mystical tune!
Agreed! This lessons draws on so many others Barry has done: triads, the secret jazz chord, the importance of respecting the melody even while exploring subs; an extremely rich lesson about a timeless tune. Thanks Barry!
Thanks Dane, I enjoyed this a lot too! So many discoveries to be made -barry
