Hi Barry! I love your lines so much and did learn a lot of them. I'm 65 Years old and retired. So I can work a lot on memorizing your lines. It takes a bunch of time to have them solid to integrate it in actual playing on a rehearsal or during a gig (optimum).
One thing I notice again and again: when I start again after a few days without practicing, the first line almost always works flawlessly. And then the same mistakes creep in again.
do you have any strategies for managing this phenomenon?
In the end, the “do it every day” method usually works for me. but maybe you can do even better.
Thank you so much for your site. I've been learning guitar all my life, but have always failed at learning bebop. The method of memorizing as much as possible (heads, solos) has so far led to better results than anything else.
Regards, Tom
