Someone said, Shadow of Your Smile. I second that notion. The GIANT, George Benson, has a fantastic version of that tune on YouTube, recorded live. Maybe Barry could give us some insight on some of those amazing Benson licks during the lesson too.

Have you done A Beautiful Friendship yet?
Hey Barry, it would be awesome if you could do a lesson on "Walking guitar". You touch upon it in "Killer comping", where you discuss it in realtion to the jamming on "Have You Met Miss Jones" With Larry Corryel. But it could so cool if you did a whole lesson on it with analysis, tabs etc. Thanks again for a great site.
Thanks for the quick response Barry. I have seen your lesson walking bass lines. And it´s great! But that is not what i´m talking about. When i use the term "walking guitar" it´s because i think of threenote voicings all the way through a tune (or a big portion of it) on every quarter note. I apologise in advance if you really have covered that topic i the "Walkingbass Lines" that you´ve linked to. But not as far as I remember...
Hello Barry
couple of suggestions . The night has a thousand eyes or the Work song
Thank you and love your website and lessons
Barry, I know you've done All The Things You Are as a chord and comp lesson. Have you ever done a lesson on the improv? I know it's been played a lot, but so many people recommend mastery of it that I thought maybe there are some old AND new thoughts you've acquired over the years on teaching improv on this song.
Hi Barry,
Do you have an arrangement for "Prelude To A Kiss"?
Having much fun here!
Would love to see Two for the Road. If I’m not mistaken, I think it would be another great tune for practicing the Benny Golson progression.
I would like to “second” the request for “Two for the Road”
Though I’d had been recorded wonderfully by many I love the recording by Pat Metheny and Charlie Haden, the CD is titled “Beyond the Missouri Sky”
Thanks Joe!
Hey Barry
1) Could you maybe do a lesson on steephian fate by Kenny Kirkland. Would really like to hear your take on how to play over such interesting harmony.
2) Also a fullblown lesson on walking chords (3 note voicings) behind for example a piano would be cool. My reference is the record "Undercurrent" by Bill Evans and Jim Hall. The way Jim Hall comps under Bill Evans solo in "My Funny Valentine" is so nice!
All the best,
Mads
Thanks Mads, I especially like the Jim Hall suggestion. Be well, talk to you soon. -barry
I'd like to see a Joy Spring lesson.
