Speak Low is a great tune. Thanks Barry. You’re the best!

Stablemates? Loved the Along Came Betty lesson...!
Good one! I’m working on Speak Low at the moment. Thanks!
Hi Barry,
If you're still taking requests, I'd love to see your analysis of Question And Answer by Pat Metheny.
Barry,
Any chance you can do more chord-melody pieces, or perhaps include more of that element in the tune-based presentations? Emphasis on soloing examples after the head would be particularly useful. As players, having a rep that we can play without the band is really essential.
Thanks for the consideration, and best wishes!
Thanks Joe, I will get to another one soon. I have a couple of other requests I need to get to, but I will add more solo guitar arrangements soon. Thanks -barry
I forgot to mention I just did a lesson on A Child is Born, a lot of attention is devoted to the chord melody aspect of the tune. -barry
Thanks Barry. Yes, I did see that, and even mentioned it in the comments area for that tune after you posted it. :)
Cheers!
Joe
I would love a general lesson on turn arounds---a summary of the most standard ones, variations, what to play over them, etc.
Thanks again for your amazing work!

Use the search feature, it works great. Thanks! -barry
Excellent! And thanks for the pointer to the search feature which I somehow overlooked.
Ok, here's a list of songs that have bit me.
Yardbird Suite
Lady Bird
Star Eyes
Confirmation
When Sunny Gets Blue
Recorda Me
Bolivia
Unit 7
Strollin'
(and these two ditties somebody pulled on me pre-Covid)
Robbin's Nest
Bernie's Tune
(and finally)
take any of those songs or any one of your choosing and just comp on it for a lesson. I still need the help.
Thanks for all you've already done.

Hi Barry! Hope you are well. How about a lesson on "Freight Trane" written by Tommy Flanagan and performed by Kenny Burrell and John Coltrane on the album "Jazz for a Lazy Day" in Ab major? As it follows Bird changes similar to Blues for Alice, I would like to how you would improvise in Ab major. Thanks.
Great request Cliff, right now I have a lesson on Harmonic minor in the BeBop era to do, but I will get to this. -barry
Great! Can't wait. I love the harmonic minor sound!
Hey Barry - Happy New Year and hope all is going well. How about "In A Mellow Tone" by Duke Ellington - I'm curious about the chord structure, are there just a bunch of Secondary Dom or 2 - 5 - 1 progressions that are just using dom7 2 chords? Thanks and take care - Doug
Hey Barry! I always come back to your Monk videos for Ask Me Now and Round Midnight. I would love to see some videos on his other incredible ballads such as Ruby My Dear or even Reflections :)
Weirdly, I just received a month old message from this page that you were doing a lesson on Harmonic Minor in the BeBop era. It has been on my mind for years but I am reluctant to add requests to your incessant request bombardment.
I think that topic is significant. Good choice!
It’s true. I couldn’t live long enough to fulfill all of the requests I have:) Thanks as always.
Lullaby Of Birdland.
Willow Weep For Me.
Off The Top - Jimmy Smith/George Benson.
